They are very popular and usually sell out very quickly, so book early to avoid disappointment. <br /> <br /><b>Price includes ALL BILLS!! Including heating, hot water, electricity, contents insurance and up to 200mb high speed WiFi internet.</b> <br /> <br />The main room comes equipped with a double bed, mattress cover, bedside cabinet, chest of drawers, wardrobe, sofa, desk and chair, dining table, two chairs and a bin. <br /> <br />The studio kitchen is self contained with fridge, freezer, microwave and electric oven and hob, kettle, hoover, iron and ironing board. <br /> <br />Studio bathrooms have an electric shower, bath, hand basin and toilet. <br /> <br /><b>The Area</b> <br /> <br />Hamstead Campus is located in the Handsworth Wood area of Birmingham just 3 miles from the city centre. A few minutes' walk along College Road takes you to local facilities including a Tesco Express and takeaways. Also nearby is Handsworth Park, a 63 acre park with a lake, cricket pitch and large leisure centre with swimming pool. <br /> <br /><b>Transport</b> <br /> <br />Getting to lectures on public transport couldn't be easier. Benefitting from excellent transport links, several bus routes serve the area including the 16 & 101 to the City Centre and the 11 Outer Circle route. Hamstead train station is a 20 minute walk away, giving direct access to Birmingham City Centre. <br /> <br /><b>The Village Inn</b> <br /> <br />Hamcam has its own pub! The Village Inn is available solely to the residents of Hamstead Campus and their guests. It is fully licenced, has Sky TV, & runs regular special offers and promotional nights. <br /> <br /><b>TV room</b> <br /> <br />A television room is available for residents to enjoy 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. With a 50" screen and plenty of comfy sofa space we're sure you'll agree it's a great place to relax when you're not partying or studying. <br /> <br /><b>Common room</b> <br /> <br />The huge 19th Century common room located within the central area of Hamstead Hall is a great space for many things. It is also available at any other time for general use, perhaps you need more space for course work or want to chill out somewhere without the TV on, whatever you want to do the common room is available for you all day every day. The room also includes a wifi hotspot. <br /> <br /><b>Study areas</b> <br /> <br />Two study areas are provided to allow our residents some quiet space to work away from their rooms. <br /> <br /><b>Sports Pitch</b> <br /> <br />We have a floodlit multi-use sports pitch is available to residents free of charge - a great way to meet new friends, have fun and enjoy some exercise. <br /> <br /><b>Sports Hall</b> <br /> <br />The sports hall is located at the end of Hamstead Hall's north wing. The sports hall is marked out with a badminton court. It is free to use for all residents of Hamstead Campus, it's a great way to keep fit, for free! Simply sign out a key for access. <br /> <br /><b>Gym</b> <br /> <br />We have a private gym for our student residents, located in Hamstead Hall. The gym is free to use for all Hamcam residents. <br /> <br /><b>Security</b> <br /> <br />Hamstead Campus is a secure, gated campus with 24/7 security 52 weeks a year. We have a regular team of security guards who are on hand 24 hours a day at reception in the Hall. When the Accommodation Office is closed our security team is here to help with any queries. <br /> <br /><b>Insurance </b> <br /> <br />Hamstead Campus in partnership with Endsleigh Insurance provide contents insurance for up to £4,000 for items kept in your room at Hamcam. This insurance provides reassurance for all of our residents and for those wanting to be extra sure, there is an option to extend the policy to include accidental damage cover. <br /> <br /><b>Cycle storage</b> <br /> <br />Cycle storage is provided on site for students wishing to bring a bike to campus. A £5 deposit is payable for a key to the bike store. This is refundable when you return your key. <br /> <br /><b>Launderette</b> <br /> <br />There is a launderette located to the rear of Hamstead Hall available for the use of all students at Hamstead Campus.
